She graduated from Zhejiang University School of Medicine (formerly Zhejiang Medical University Department of Medicine) in 1983. After obtaining a master's degree from the school in 1986, he went to North America (the United States and Canada) to continue post-doctoral research. He completed his pathology residency training in Canada in 1996, passed the Canadian and American pathologist license examinations, and was admitted as a member of the Royal Canadian Medical Association.
