Departments & Center

Introduction of the department

The Department of Rehabilitation Medicine at Shulan (Hangzhou) Hospital has provided rehabilitation outpatient services since the hospital’s founding. In May 2019, the department established a rehabilitation ward, which has since become a key specialty of the hospital. The department currently consists of 30 medical professionals, including 3 chief physicians, 2 attending physicians, 3 physiotherapists, and offers 10 inpatient beds.

Our department specializes in core areas of rehabilitation, including neurological rehabilitation, orthopedic rehabilitation, and cardiopulmonary rehabilitation. We provide a comprehensive approach that integrates medical care, rehabilitation, and nursing. The department is equipped with rehabilitation training rooms, including exercise therapy rooms, occupational therapy rooms, physical therapy rooms, speech and swallowing therapy rooms, and traditional rehabilitation therapy rooms. These facilities are staffed by a multidisciplinary team of rehabilitation physicians, therapists, and nurses, who provide comprehensive and systematic rehabilitation assessments and treatments for each patient. In addition to offering early rehabilitation interventions for patients from various clinical departments, we also conduct standardized rehabilitation treatments for subacute and chronic conditions. The center is equipped with advanced treatment equipment, including lower limb exoskeleton robots, shockwave therapy devices, osteoporosis treatment devices, laser magnetic therapy devices, MOTOmed intelligent rehabilitation training systems, EasyStand standing frames, and psychological and speech function assessment training systems. By utilizing a modern rehabilitation medicine model, combining Chinese and Western medicine, rehabilitation training, and physical factors, the center has developed a well-rounded rehabilitation treatment process.
