Nuclear medicine is an emerging discipline that uses nuclear technology to diagnose, treat, and study diseases.It is the product of the combination of modern science and technology with medicine in nuclear technology, electronic technology, computer technology, chemistry, physics and biology.Since the 1970s, nuclear medical imaging technology has been breakthrough due to the development of single-photon and positron emission, as well as the innovation and development of radioactive drugs.It complements CT, nuclear magnetic resonance and ultrasound technology, which greatly improves the diagnosis and research level of disease. Therefore, nuclear medical imaging is a very active branch and important part in the field of modern clinical medical imaging diagnosis.Nuclear medicine is safe and non-trauma to patients. It can quantitatively and dynamically observe the early, subtle and local changes in the human body at the molecular level, and provides a simple and accurate diagnostic method that cannot be replaced by other new medical technologies.The nuclear medicine department of our hospital is equipped with the most advanced Discovery-710 PET/CT machine of GE company, which has the characteristics of short scanning time, fast imaging speed, low radiation dose and good image quality.
Scope of Diagnosis and Treatment
At present, the nuclear medicine department carries out systemic 18F-FDG metabolic imaging.Diagnosis and treatment projects include: systemic or local tumor imaging, myocardial function imaging, cerebral function imaging , particle implantation treatment and other diagnosis and treatment projects.The Department of Nuclear Medicine of our hospital has a team of experts with extremely rich experience in clinical and operation.
