Introduction of the department

The Clinical Nutrition Department of Shulan (Hangzhou) Hospital was established in July 2020, and a nutrition support group was set up in the same month. In November 2020, it passed the clinical trial of formula food for special medical use. At present, there is one chief physician and two nutrition technicians, who are responsible for the clinical nutrition business of the hospital, including all clinical nutrition diagnosis and treatment of inpatients and outpatients.


Scope of Diagnosis and Treatment

(1) 1. Provide nutritional assessment and dietary guidance for inpatients, be responsible for dietary and nutritional guidance for patients in the whole hospital, such as diabetes, hyperlipidemia, gout, hyperthyroidism, chronic liver disease, kidney disease, tumor, digestive tract disease, cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, and give reasonable nutritional support programs according to patients' diseases, conditions, nutritional status and eating habits.

2. Provide consultation, enteral nutrition support and intravenous nutrition consultation for inpatients: provide enteral nutrition support for patients who cannot eat orally for various reasons, patients with high catabolism, patients with moderate to severe malnutrition and patients undergoing major surgery. Enteral nutrition support can obviously improve the nutritional status of patients, improve the immunity, promote postoperative wound healing and reduce the infection rate.

3. Provide personalized nutritious meals for inpatients, and strictly control them: cooperate with nutrition canteens to make personalized meals for patients, such as semi-liquid, liquid and residue-free meals before operation, semi-liquid and liquid after operation, and provide therapeutic meals such as low salt and low fat diet, diabetes diet, low purine diet, low protein (kidney disease) diet and liver disease diet.

4. Outpatient nutrition consultation and guidance: Provide nutrition consultation and guidance for patients with fatty liver, obesity, diabetes, hyperlipidemia, gout, hyperthyroidism, chronic liver disease, kidney disease, tumor, digestive tract disease, cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, hematological diseases, etc., and provide targeted nutrition supplement or dietary adjustment measures. Nutrition consultation and health guidance are provided for specific groups such as children, pregnant women, lactating mothers and the elderly, and services such as nutrition screening and evaluation, human composition analysis and recipe preparation can be provided.
