Introduction of the department
Establishment: The Department of Nephrology was established in December 2015 as a key and specialized department of the hospital. It currently has nearly 100 medical staff, including 5 chief physicians and 16 attending physicians, with more than 100 inpatient beds.
Core Focus: The department specializes in comprehensive, integrated management of kidney diseases, covering all stages from early kidney disease to uremia. It is particularly experienced in the field of kidney transplantation, routinely performing cadaveric donations, living donor transplants, and high-sensitization kidney transplants. The department provides a full-service healthcare model encompassing "prevention-diagnosis-treatment-rehabilitation" for patients.
Scope of Diagnosis and Treatment
1) Common and Frequently Occurring Diseases:
Kidney transplantation (living donor transplants from relatives, cadaveric kidney transplants from public donations) and management of various transplant-related complications.
Post-transplant follow-up and management.
Routine and complex vascular access creation (including synthetic grafts, cadaveric vascular fistulas, high-position fistula construction, balloon angioplasty, and interventional treatment of hemodialysis access).
Hemodialysis, hemofiltration, continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT), blood perfusion, plasma exchange (including secondary separation mode), and immunoadsorption for blood purification.
Peritoneal dialysis catheter placement (open surgery and laparoscopic catheter insertion).
Routine peritoneal dialysis (CAPD) implementation and follow-up management.
Automated peritoneal dialysis (APD).
Diagnosis and treatment of nephritis (proteinuria, hematuria), nephropathy (edema).
Kidney biopsy.
Application of immunosuppressants in nephritis and nephropathy.
2) Complex and Critical Conditions:
Kidney transplantation for highly sensitized patients.
High-difficulty, low-age pediatric cadaveric dual kidney transplantation.
3) Specialized Services:
Remote home-based smart peritoneal dialysis management through automated peritoneal dialysis (APD).
