She currently serves as the Vice Dean of Shulan Medical College at Shuren University, Director of the Thoracic Tumor Center at Shulan (Hangzhou) Hospital, and Deputy Director of the Breast Disease Diagnosis and Treatment Center at Shulan (Hangzhou) Hospital. In 2011, she was a visiting scholar at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD).

With extensive clinical and translational research experience in lung cancer, esophageal cancer, breast cancer, and mediastinal tumors, she specializes in the diagnosis of pulmonary nodules, personalized comprehensive treatment of lung cancer, tumor targeted immunotherapy, and cell-based biotherapy. She is particularly skilled in managing complex and challenging complications and comorbidities in lung cancer patients.

Professor Dr. Zhao holds prominent roles in numerous academic committees, including:
